Ivy is a Kawartha Lakes local who developed a passion for movement and exercise at a young age. Growing up playing soccer and dancing competitively allowed Ivy the opportunity to attend Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School with a focus in dance.

To further understand the anatomy and physiology of the human body, Ivy attended St. Lawrence College in Kingston, where she graduated from the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas & Degrees. Subsequently, she completed her diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion, graduating with distinction. During her time at St. Lawrence College, Ivy had the opportunity to work with varsity athletes in various sports such as soccer, rugby, and basketball as a student athletic trainer. As a Registered Health and Exercise Practitioner through the Ontario Fitness Council (OFC), Ivy is recognized as a Level 3 Personal Trainer. She upholds certifications in older adult fitness, adaptive athlete programming, group exercise, and resistance training, among others. Ashley graduated from Sir Sanford Fleming College in 2018 with an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy and the honour of being named valedictorian of the School of Health & Wellness. She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and is a member in good standing. She has experience working in multidisciplinary settings and with clients of different ages, backgrounds and activity levels.

Ashley brings a long history of athletic experience with her to Trent Health in Motion. Prior to becoming a registered massage therapist, Ashley trained and competed with the Canadian National Rowing Team for ten years. She was part of the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Rowing teams and won a silver medal in the women’s 8+ at the 2012 London Games. Ashley credits getting regular physiotherapy and massage therapy treatments with keeping her healthy, happy and mostly injury-free during her career on the National Team.

She began rowing in high school but really found her passion for sport at university. She graduated with degree in Art History from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut though arguably she spent more time rowing than she did studying. After graduation, Ashley worked at a law firm in New York City before deciding to follow her dream to try rowing at the elite level for Team Canada.

Mike has worked in the health and wellness field for the past 20 years. Over this time, he has recognized the importance of developing a strong therapeutic alliance with his patients to enable them to achieve their best possible result. Mike uses an evidence-based approach to treatment that includes the use of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and education to assist patients with their goals.

Mike initially completed a Diploma in the Fitness & Lifestyle Management program at George Brown College in 1999. He followed this, completing his Bachelors of Science degree at Trent University in 2001. He spent 5 years working both as a trainer, as well as a rehab therapist for individuals with acquired brain injury. In 2006, Mike completed his Masters of Physical Therapy at D’Youville College, in Buffalo, NY. Mike has worked in Peterborough for the past 13 years in an orthopedic setting. Throughout his career, Mike has remained committed to continuing education. Michael enjoys working with clients to help them recover fully, so they can achieve their health and fitness goals. Musculoskeletal problems, especially those resulting from sports related injuries, are his primary area of interest. Michael uses manual therapy techniques, individualized strengthening and stretching exercises, and movement retraining to help clients rehabilitate from injury and prevent recurrence. He has worked with athletes of all levels, participating in many different sports, from professional basketball teams and the Canadian Men’s National Cricket team, to amateur and recreational athletes of all ages in sports such as soccer, football, hockey and golf.

Michael has continued to build on his skills and knowledge through a variety of continuing education courses. Most notably he completed the Masters in Clinical Science program at the University of Western Ontario and attained his advanced manual therapy (FCAMPT) designation. He also completed the Discover Physio series, where he learned the Integrated Systems Model (ISM). ISM is an approach to assessment and treatment that examines the whole person in order to address the underlying causes behind their meaningful complaint, as opposed to just treating the painful area.

Cora is a dietitian who enjoys nothing more than supporting clients to achieve their individual goals. She creates a judgment-free, safe space to explore how food can support health and wellbeing at every life stage. She also has an interest in how nutrition can support athletes and their unique goals. Cora takes a client-centred, food first approach, recognizing that every individual is an expert in their own care.

Cora graduated with her BSc in Food and Nutrition with an Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2018 from Brescia University College, London, ON. She then went on to complete her Master in Public Health: Food and Nutrition from Memorial University, St. John’s, NL in 2020. She then worked as a diabetes education dietitian and a public health dietitian in Timmins, ON, before moving back to a farm near her hometown of Cobourg in the fall of 2023. Cora is a member of good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and is a member of Dietitians of Canada.

Reanna is a compassionate physiotherapist who loves helping people achieve their goals, whether they’re related to health, wellness or performance. Reanna takes a client-centered approach to treatment, focusing on each person’s specific goals when developing a treatment plan. She takes the time to explain what she’s doing and what’s going on with each person’s body, as well as the different treatment options. Reanna’s treatment sessions often include education about strategies clients can implement to help decrease pain, facilitate recovery and prevent recurrence of injury, as well as exercise and manual therapy. When appropriate, she also offers acupuncture and therapeutic taping. Each session will be tailored to the individual client’s needs.

She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Physical Education and Health from the University of Toronto in 2008. She then completed her Master’s of Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2010. After practicing for five years in orthopaedic physiotherapy, Reanna went on to complete her Master’s of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at the University of Western Ontario in 2016. With this, Reanna achieved the designation as a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT), which is the highest level of education in manual orthopaedic physiotherapy.
